Arranged 2020 for Jazz Band
Grounds For Divorce was premiered on April 27, 2021 by the Fillmore Central High School Jazz Band. It was originally to be performed the year before, but was delayed due to the COVID pandemic.
I was first introduced to “Grounds For Divorce” around 2008 by a new music blog that I can’t even remember the name of anymore. The song is a banger. Our jazz band was set to perform in Branson in spring 2020 and I knew that this would be a fantastic rock chart for them to show off with, and they loved it. Unfortunately that trip was cancelled like a lot of things in spring 2020, but my students loved it so much they begged to play it again the next year.
