marches for the preferably deaf are designed to make music critics go nuts: sometimes they don't resolve, sometimes they revolve, sometimes they won't stop. they do, however, make the audience and the performers roar in laughter at their absurd mannerisms.
the series began with Tuo Edisni (The Caktak March) in 2005. in the middle of the piece a slide whistle announces that the time has come for the music to turn around, and from there out every note is a mirror image of the first half of the song. next brought The Eucant March in 2007. it lives up to its name, throwing in time signatures, stops, goes, and holds in all of the wrong places. forthcoming is the third installment, "Septo", about which, due to foreign spies, i cannot divulge a lot of information. i can tell you, however, that it will be just as fun as just as ridiculous as its predecessors.
